Bachelor of Arts in Sociology

Students taking Major in Sociology are expected to take the following courses.
First Year

In addition, students may take the equivalent of three additional full courses from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 1000- level.
Second Year
As requirements for the major in Sociology students must take the following courses:
SOC 2110 and SOC 2414
In addition, students may take the equivalent of two additional full courses from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 2000- level.
Third Year
As requirements for the major in Sociology, students must take the following course:
SOC 3110.
In addition, students may take the equivalent of two additional full courses from any of the 3000- level or 9000- level (SOC 3110, SOC 9010, SOC 9110, SOC 9155, SOC 9210, SOC 9255, SOC 9410, SOC 9610, SOC 9755, SOC 9855, SOC 9950, SDS 9210 or SDS 9215) and one additional full course equivalent from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Fourth Year
As Requirements for the major in Sociology, a student must take the following course:
SOC 4114.
In addition, students may take the equivalent of two additional full courses from any of the 4000-level or 9000- level (SOC 9010, SOC 9110, SOC 9155, SOC 9210, SOC 9255, SOC 9410, SOC 9610, SOC 9755, SOC 9855, SOC 9950, SDS 9210 or SDS 9215) and one additional full course equivalent from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Minor in Sociology
As Requirements for the minor in Sociology, a student must take the following courses:
SOC 1110, SOC 2110, SOC 3110, plus any two courses form the following: SOC 9010, SOC 91110, SOC 9155, SOC 9210, SOC 9255, SOC 9410, SOC 9610, SOC 9755, SOC 9855, SOC 9950, and either SDS 9210 OR SDS 9215.
