Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Applied Ethics

Students  taking  Major  in  Philosophy  and  Applied  Ethics  are  expected  to  take  the  following courses.

First Year
As  Requirements  for  the  major  in  Philosophy and  Applied  Ethics,  a  student  must  take  the following courses.

PHI 1010 or PHI 1020

In  addition,  students  may  take  the  equivalent  of  the  three  additional full courses  from  any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 1000-level.

Second Year
As  Requirements  for  the  major  in  Philosophy  and  Applied  Ethics,  a  student  must  take  the following course.
PHI 2030 and DEM 2414

In addition, students may take the equivalent of two additional full courses from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 2000-level.

Third Year
As  Requirements  for  the  major in Philosophy  and  Applied  Ethics,  a  student  must  take  the following courses.
PHI 3050, PHI 3065, PHI 3070
In  addition,  students   may  take  the  equivalent of two additional  full  courses   from  any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 3000-level or 9000-level.

Fourth Year
As  Requirements  for  the  major  in Philosophy  and  Applied  Ethics,  a  student  must  take  the following courses.
PHI 4085, PHI 4095, and 4104

In addition, students may take the equivalent of the two additional full courses from any of  the 4000-level or 9000-level (PHI 9115, PHI 9125, PHI 9135, PHI 9145, PHI 9145, PHI 9155, PHI 9165, PHI 9175, PHI 9185, PHI 9195, PHI 9205).

Minor in Philosophy and Applied Ethics
PHI 2030 plus four additional courses in the 3000,4000 and 9000 series; at least two of which must be Applied Ethics courses.

Double Major in Philosophy and Applied Ethics
To complete the Programme students should take the following courses.

First Year
As Requirements for the Double Major in Philosophy  and  Applied Ethics, a student must take the following course.
PHI 1010 or PHI 1020

In  addition,  students  may  take  the  equivalent  of  the  three  additional  full  courses  from  any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 1000-level.

Second Year
As Requirements for the Double Major in Philosophy  and  Applied Ethics, a student must take the following courses.
PHI 2030 and DEM 2414

In addition,students may take the equivalent of one additional full course from any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 2000-level.

Third Year
As Requirements for the Double Major in Philosophy  and  Applied Ethics, a student must take the following courses.
PHI 3050, PHI 3065, PHI 3070

In  addition,  students   may  take  the  equivalent  of  two   additional  full  courses   from  any programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 3000-level or 9000-level.

Fourth Year
As Requirements for the Double Major in Philosophy  and  Applied Ethics, a student must take the following courses.
PHI 4085, PHI 4095, and PHI 4104
