To complete the Programme students should take the following courses.
Major in History
First Year
As Requirements for the major in
History, a student must take the following course.
HIS 1110
In  addition,  students  may  take  the  equivalent  of  the  three  additional  full  courses  from  any
programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 1000-level.
Second Year
As Requirements for the major in History, a student must take the following course.
HIS 2310, HIS 2410
In  addition,  students  may  take  the  equivalent  of  the  two  additional  full  courses  from  any
programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 2000-level.
Third Year
As Requirements for the major in History, a student must tak
e the following course.
HIS 3210, HIS 9110
and HIS 3350
In  addition,  students  may  take  the  equivalent  of  the  one  additional  full  course  from  any
programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the 3000
-
level. Or 9000-level.
Fourth Year
As Requirements for the major in History, a student must take the following course.
HIS 4110 or HIS 4914

Minor in History

Students majoring in BA History are advised to take a major or minor in one of the following:
Development  Studies,  Economics,  Gender  Studies,  Political Science,  Public  Administration,
Philosophy,   Psychology,   Literature,   Languages,   Sociology,   Geography,   Mathematics   or
Demography.
Single major in History
